Winter in Copenhagen photos-all taken on 06/05/2005

As you can see from these photos compared to last years, it has been much colder this year, albeit later in the year. These were taken in early March when we had a very cold spell of weather, in Copenhagen it was down to around -13º C one night and we had many other nights close to that. The effect of this was that the harbour close to where I live on Islands Brygge froze over, it has to be pretty cold for that to happen as the water here usually has quite a strong current that stops the ice from forming. The coldest night of the winter occurred not far from here on March the 4th, it got down to -20.2º C!
