Mozilla Firefox - Live Mozilla Firefox Download Count: 1312797758

Last year I switched from Internet Explorer to Mozilla Firefox, it's free and far better than IE in my opinion. It supports tabbed browsing so you don't end up with multiple windows open cluttering up the screen and also blocks all annoying popup adverts by default. Also displays web pages according to W3C standards better than IE. It's been downloaded over 200 million times now and the latest version is Firefox 2.0. This new version has the advantage of incremental updates so instead of downloading the whole program again a small patch is applied, quicker loading of pages when clicking the back and forward buttons and loads more features. Mozilla Thunderbird

At the same time I ditched Outlook Express and moved to Mozilla Thunderbird. It's more reliable and much faster than OE to use. I have it linked to my Fastmail account using IMAP which synchronises the client with my mailbox. It also has a built in RSS reader, virtual folders, spam filtering and spell checker.
